UPS won't let me update delivery address

• First of all I put my address number in the delivery address but Verizon omitted it on the shipping label.
• Ups says address needs to be updated but Verizon makes it unauthorized for anyone but Verizon to update delivery address.
• Representative from Verizon said they can not add apartment number and there is nothing they will do until my phone gets returned to sender from UPS
• My order was guaranteed over night delivery but this is now 2 days that I have been waitingon delivery.
• I just need to add my apartment number, please do not have me wait another week for my phone, I need it for my job interviews.
