So i bought an sim-unlocked iphone 13 pro max on february 2nd, 2022 at apple aventura mall.. since day 1, i used an argentine service provider. never had a problem until september 2024 when, suddenly, my IMEI was blocked.
after arguing with different organizations, it came to me that there was a verizon account (number ending in 8096) that had the same imei (obviously, someone must have misspelled it somewhere). this particularly account has a debt, and was blocked because of it.
so, i tried communicating with customer service, providing the real invoice from apple, photo of the actual box, etc. to convince them that there must be an error and that i'm the real and only owner of the device associated to my imei, but they just can't cooperate.
i don't know if someone has gone through the same or similar case and can help me out.
