Ultimate unlimited for overseas

While I could make and receive telephone calls, my roaming data was non existent while traveling overseas. I was ‘sold’ this plan by a Verizon representative who said it would allow me to use data and my phone as I would in the usa. This plan is not for international travel at all. I wish they would train their reps since the web site is unusable for finding plans.

Depending on where you are in the world, data may not work all that well. It's not uncommon for 3G to still be used elsewhere, and some parts of the world only have 2G or even voice/texting only. Verizon also doesn't necessarily have agreements with all local carriers in every country.

If your phone is set to primarily use 5G and not other spectrum, that is another possible cause for being unable to access any data service. Or if you disabled roaming.

We hate to see you had some trouble on your trip. We are always a phone call away for service and support in the future to assist you on your travels. The Plan does include access to the internet overseas. It sounds like there may have been some settings that needed to be adjusted. Was your international roaming enabled?
