Verizon mistakenly debited $322.07 from my debit card on 2/14/2025 for a bill that was not due yet. I made a payment of $350.09 on the same day. I contacted support while both charges were still pending. They could have reversed the mistaken payment and I would already have the money back in my account, however I have been told that a refund couldn’t be issued until 2/19/2025. I have 4 kids, and a wife. We both work, but we live on an extremely tight budget. That money was going to buy groceries, medication, and other necessities. We have no savings or anyone to borrow from while we wait for a refund. I hope someone with the authority to refund my money immediately will see this. Several agents have tried to help, but when they go to a supervisor for approval, they all say it will be 2/19/2025 before they can issue a refund. I find it hard to believe that Verizon can’t issue a refund via Venmo or a similar app, or at a Verizon store. I am desperate. We have no money until that refund is issued. This has put my family in crisis, and no one seems to care. I called my bank and they said they could issue a provisional credit in 10 days! I can’t wait 10 days. I need help getting that money back today!
