I purchased an iPhone 16 Pro through Verizon’s “Any iPhone, Any Condition” trade-in offer, planning to trade in my fully unlocked iPhone 8 Plus (bought in 2018). I confirmed the trade-in over the phone, and they approved it.
However, at the Verizon store, they couldn’t find any trade-in order . I contacted customer service, provided my IMEI, and was told I'd receive a shipping label by email never arrived.
Multiple follow-ups later, they finally said they'd mail it (3–5 days). Still nothing. When I called again, they claimed my phone was already recycled and refused to process the trade-in, ignoring my explanation and ownership history.
Terrible coordination, no accountability, and complete disregard for customer time and trust.
Almost wasted 20 to 24 hrs spanning 5 to 6 different days.
