For several years our sewer line has been backing up causing flooding in my garage. We recently hired a licensed plumbing contractor to investigate the issue. The plumber ran a camera down the line and verified our sewer line was compromised and pinpointed the location and found that Verizon had drilled right through our sewer line when they installed the Fios line several years ago. We have gotten a quote of $2200 from the plumbing contractor to repair the line, and have scheduled them to commence the repair work on Aug 18, 2025.
What is the process to file a claim with Verizon to compensate me for the cost to repair the damage to my property caused by Verizon when they installed Fios lines into our neighborhood?
