I have a BlackBerry Curve and I down loaded the CD onto my computer so I could use the internet, but does that charge extra to my phone if I have the phone hooked directly to my computer?

I'm confused - are you trying to tether the computer and phone to access internet via the phone's internet connection? There is an extra charge for that above the data plan for your BB.

And how does the wi-fi figure in? Your Curve can USE a wi-fi signal to access the internet, but you cannot use it as a hotspot.

I'm not sure I really understand your question; can you post back and clarify exactly what it is your want to do? Sorry for being so dense....
