Are there different Data Plan options for iPhone?

All I seem to find are "unlimited" plans.  Am I required to have unlimited data with an iPhone?

 

I've heard rumor of Verizon going the way of ATT with their tier system, but don't find thta as an option on my plan features.

 

I spend most of my time at home and at work, at which I have solid access to wifi, and therefore don't "use" my data services.  That said, I'd love to go to a lower tier based on my usage to same a little $$ if possible.

 

Any thoughts?

At the current time the only data option for the iPhone is the unlimited plan ($29.99/month).  And that data plan is required

You are correct, there have been many rumors about Verizon implementing a tiered data plan system sometime this summer but nothing offical has been announced as to when those plans would start or what prices/data limits they would include.

When will it happen?  Could be tomorrow or could be next year, your guess.
