I will be in Mexico for a week. This area of Mexico does not have any CDMA service. I bought a cheap AT&T GO phone and some airtime. It only costs $0.25/min to call the US from Mexico on this plan.
I want to set call forwarding on my Verizon phone to forward to my AT&T number. I will set the call forwarding before I leave home. Will the call forwording work while my Verizon phone is out of country, or once the phone leaves the servie area will it cut the call forwarding feature? What if the Verizon phone is off for several days?
I know I will get charged airtime from both Verizon and AT&T, but I never go over my plan minutes with Verizon, so this is a cheap way to "roam" my number while in Mexico. The GSM coverage where I am at is excellent. I just want my family and work contacts to beable to reach me on the number they are used to instead of having to give everyone the AT&T number. Will this work?
