Family Locator and Data access

I have a Samsung Intensity II as a locatee on the Family Locator service. It is currently functioning properly with the locator phone. I would like to turn off as many data access features as possible on the Sam Int II, because it is for a younger child and I don't want him using the internet or downloading anything...even by accident. What can I disable on the locatee phone without interrupting the Family Locator service. I still want to be able to locate this phone. Thanks.

The Family Locator service uses the data connection to function. There would not be a way to disable the data functions and still use the Locator service. Perhaps you can direct the young child not to access the other data applications on the device so it can be just used as a phone and you can use the Family Locator service if needed to locate the phone.
