If a Verizon wireless number calls my Verizon wireless number, and my number forwards to my Verizon landline in the same local calling area, am I charged airtime for the forwarded minutes?

I believe the answer is Yes. You are, in effect calling your landline from your wireless line which would incur airtime charges.
If you are on a friends and family plan of course you could then make your landline one of the numbers that was included in that service to eliminate those charges.
