Tranfering contact list to new phone

Hi, I used to use samsung Rogue but I dropped it one day and the touch screen would not work.

So I got my friend's old phone, LG Dare to use before I upgraded to a new phone.

I was able to activate the dare, but I was not able to transfer any contact list from my old phone because the touch screen does not work..

I went to the local store and they told me they would have to charge me $25!! to transfer contacts!!

Can anyone help me transfer the contacts or will I simply have to pay 25 dollars to transfer contacts??

Did you have Backup Assistant installed on your old phone?  If so, installing it on your new phone should allow you to sync the contacts.  You could also look into some software called BitPim, if it is compatible with both of the phones, you may be able to move the contacts yourself.

 

Otherwise, paying to have the store use their equipment may be the fastest and most effective method.
