Having trouble installing Backup Assistant

First, yes its an old phone, the venerable LG-V8300. When I attempt to install BA  I get an error of "Unable to Retreive Catalog". Verizon CS says that this has been a problem for about 3 weeks and does not know when, if ever, it will be available.

 

I can get my contacts transferred to my replacement phone, but does anyone know if the BA will be available again?

May I ask when was the last time this LG 8300 was actively used on the device? Devices that wasn't active and did not open the Media Center catalog prior to March 25, 2011 will no longer be able to access the Media Center. This is because the devices required an update to the software certification in order to retain access to the Media Center catalog. This time window to update the certificate has expired on 3/25/11. If this is the case, then a contact transfer would need to be done at a corporate store.
