UML290 Cannot connect problems WMC604

I searched the internet and this problem has supposedly been solved, or has it.

Yesterday connected no problem, all day through 3G. Today, signal displays same but getting a WMC604 error. Anyone know if its a system error and it will go away or has the ghost of the past come back?

Nationwide outage due to service updates. 4G and 3G will be unavailable on 4G devices until the update is finished.

Is there a website that shows the status of the network? 9:52 a.m. Pacific on 4/27/11 and still not working.
