4G

I would like to know why you sell new items and say they can be used with the 4G network (especially in Virginia). I cant believe that a company as great as you are, are letting these other companies get ahead of you with the 4G network. Sprint is one of the companies that have beat you with the 4G, they have it in Roanoke and Richmond Virginia. I can't change companies because I have a 2 year contract with you. I really need the 4G for my computer in the Roanoke and RIchmond area. Trust me it works great because I have tried Sprints computer card and it works great. You will lose allot of business if you don't hurry up and get the 4G in most areas. Trust me I know, I have several friends that have dropped Verizon and went to Sprint. You are losing out ! I still can't believe that you don't have it but in a small amount of areas. I wish that you would do a better job, trust me we pay enough each month for better service but we aren't getting it.

For some strange reason Sprint has chosen for their initial 4G foray in Georgia: Atlanta (4G war zone), and the small town of Milledgeville!

It's a nice town. I used to live there. 'Got few colleges. BUT why not Chattanooga?, Savannah?, Macon?, Augusta? etc...?

That's Sprint. But when I look at Verizon's nationwide map, What did Nashville do to get so much coverage? Go figure.

Timmy; Looking over the maps (as a geographer I can tell you Sprints mapping really suks), You're right, Richmond isn't covered.

I don't think you're a troll. I think you shudda done better research. And I suspect you're as P.O.'d at yourself as at Verizon or should be.. If your trial period is up, you really are SOL for two years, unless you want to pay the $175.00 (?) cancelation fee.

I picked Verizon because the places where I expect to be their coverage is better. -at this time, things may change.

Is it possible that geography played a large roll is Verizons decisions regarded where 4G was implemented first? By this I mean if you have lots of hills and valleys, it takes many towers to cover a smalled geographical area. Large flat areas can be covered with fewer towers. Also the population density comes into play. A well placed tower in a densely populated area will cover more people (aka customers) than in a more sparesly populated area.

I'm sure it was a dollars and cents decision. Verizon wanted to cover the most amount of customers with the finances allocated to 4G rollout. So the areas that require the least number of towers to cover the most number of people were the first to get 4G.

Pretty simple really......

Dirkborn; Good points, except: You can't get any flatter than Augusta or Savannah GA.

and the populations are denser than Tennesee.

and look at the Nashville Map:

It covers the whole middle of Tennesee, including the hill country west of Nashville.

And what's happening in Kentucky? Go figure.

Maybe the Verizon CEO's family lives there..... haha! Or he has a vacation home there. Circumstances alter cases and overrule logic. Bottom line... Who know's...
