I have a Motorola DROID 2 Global is there anyway to uninstall preloaded apps ?

at least not that is sanctioned by vzw or that wont void your warranty and be against tos to discuss

Thanks for the information mdram4x4. At this time, we do not have a options to uninstall preloaded applications but you can remove applications your not using and download advanced task killer to your phone.

Advanced Task Killer (ATK) is a free application that allows users to easily see what applications are currently running and offers the ability to terminate them quickly and easily. Apps appear in a list and can be checked or unchecked using a tick box on the right hand of the display.

I have listed the directions below to remove unwanted applications and the directions download the advance task killer.

(Applications included with the Android Operating System may not have an uninstall option.)

From the home screen, select the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
Select Settings.
Select Applications.
Select Manage applications.
From the Apps tab, select an application.
Select Uninstall.
Select OK

Below are steps to download Advanced Task Killer:

Noted: To access Market, a Google account is required. Refer to Add a Gmail account for assistance.

From the home screen, select the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
Select Market.
If presented, review the Android Market Terms of Service then select Accept to continue.
Select APS.
Select a category (e.g. All applications, Comics, Communication, etc.).
To sort the list, select one of the following:
- Top paid
- Top free
- Just in
Select an application / widget such as:
- Widgets
  CNN News
  Delivers up-to-the-minute news and information on the latest top stories, weather, and entertainment.
  Weather Bug
  Delivers live local weather conditions.
  Fox News
  Delivers the latest and breaking news.
- Applications
  ------Advanced Task Killer
  One click to kill applications running in the background.
  Visual Voice Mail
  Allows subscribers to view caller and voice mail information and listen to voice mail messages in any order.
If there is a charge for the application, select Buy.
If the application is free, select Install.
Select OK.
Review the alerts for access. If they are not acceptable select Cancel.
If applicable, ensure the desired card is selected then select Buy now.
If a payment method has not been established, enter the credit card information then select Save.

IMHO Try System Panel Lite instead of ATK. Your phone will be happier for it.
