Backup Assistant verses Sync and Connect

The new Sync and Connect service looks neat, however, both of the lines on my account doesn't need the GMAIL, Yahoo, etc., integration. For my line, I have all my third party emails set to forward over to my MobileMe account, and on my mother's line, she doesn't have a data plan.

So do we really need to switch over to Sync and Connect, or should we just stay on Backup Assistant?

If your Mom has the Accolade, as I think we have discussed previously), the Sync and Connect will not work - it's for Smartphones as I understand it.

Having said that, it's new, and I am still trying to find out exactly what it does, and who / which phones it is available for.

Sounds good. It looks to me as if it's Backup Assiatant plus a "unified inbox" page that combines all your messages from Yahoo, GMAIL, etc. on one page. Since I forward them to MobileMe, I see no reason to switch. If you ever find out more about it and find out there's other benefits, let me know and I'll look into it. You're right, my mom has the accolade, so Backup Assistant is all she needs since she doesn't use data. Thanks!

Thanks for the info! I'll probably just use Backup Assistant since I have all my other emails forwarded to MobileMe, so it seems I don't need Sync and Connect. Nice included service though for those that manage multiple inboxes though! I'll sure recommend it to friends!
