Help with data plan

Okay so I have the Kin one and did not want to pay for data at the moment since I'm not big on spending extra money. anyway when I got a few days ago I went on the internet and checked my email to see how it worked, but did not now at the time even though I was on wifi I was still getting charged, whiched sucked. Anyway how much is 2.64MB( 2.636 MB)? Just want to know how much extra I'll have to owe..

  and how to I disable 3G while browsing the internet on wifi? Should I go into my account and disable it? will that affect picture reciveing and sendng. I'm on a shared line with other people so I just want to make sure.

If you don't have a data plan, you will be charged at a rate of $1.99/MB rounded up to the next whole MB, so right now, you're looking at a charge of around $6.

 

In terms of preventing data use, I would reccomend first looking for a setting on your phone to turn off 3G data.  If that doesn't work, the account owner can call in and have data disabled on your line, or do it themselves through MyVerizon.  This should not affect your picture text messaging, but it will prevent you from accessing websites and using apps that require data like Facebook and Twitter unless you are on a WiFi connection.
