Can't erase pictures from my phone

I recently purchased a Samsung Intensity II. I tried to download some pics off my computer on to my phone. The pics showed up with white boxes with red x's in the middle. I've been trying to erase them from my phone and it says they are being erased but they keep coming back.

How can I get them erased from my phone for good?

Since this happened with pictures you transferred from the computer, I would suggest connecting your phone to the computer to remove them. It sounds like the phone may not recognize the file type of the picture or can't access the picture file. Once you connect your phone to the computer, enable USB Mass Storage on the phone by going to Settings & Tools, Tools, USB Mass Storage. This will show all the folders on the memory card. You can then look for the pictures folder to delete files from there.

Also, when I try to manage my pics and when I was checking out my camera, all my pics disappeared and all I had were white boxes with red x's on them. I had to turn my phone off and back on for them to come back.

Thank you for your inquiry lilcee47. Please use the steps below for erasing your pictures. These steps were found on page 100 of the user manual that can be accessed on at our website under support. Click the device tab and enter your device type. Also, perhaps check the device to see if you have a memory card. It maybe that the pictures are on the memory card and you would select it as where you wanting to go when using the option to erase the pictures. As make sure you do not have the pictures marked as that can interfere with the steps of erasing your pictures.

The steps to erase the pictures:

1. From the Home screen, press the Center Select Key to select MENU> Media Center > Pictures > My Pictures.

2. Press the Directional Key in any direction to highlight a photo.

3. While viewing a list of photos, press the Right Soft Key Options to select these options:

Manage Pictures: – Erase: Mark pictures for deletion. Use the Directional Key to highlight a picture, then press the Center Select Key MARK to mark the picture for deletion. To delete all, press the Right Soft Key Mark All.

If an optional memory card is installed, move pictures from the card to the phone’s memory. Use the Directional Key to highlight a picture, then press the Center Select Key MARK to mark the picture for moving. To move all, press the Right Soft Key Mark All.

I tried that and at first it didn't delete them so I tried again. Then all my pictures came up with a white box with an x through them. I had to turn off my phone and turn it back on. My pictures are back and so are the two I can't delete.
