wont turn on w/o charger

I just recently bought a phone off of ebay (it was listed as used, but the description is as follows: "CONDITION: This phone is in EXCELLENT MINT CONDITION. It came to us as a part of a factory overstock lot. There is no box or manual but the phone itself is in MINT CONDITION. The phone has been fully tested and is in 100% working condition. The phone has a clear ESN and is ready for activation on the VERIZON Wireless Network...Guaranteed!!! " I plugged my phone into the charger the moment I got it and let it sit for about 5 hours. When I next looked at it it said that charging was complete. But, whenever I try to take it off the charger it "dies" and will not turn back on unless I plug it back into the charger.

What did the ebay seller say when you brought it to their attention? Sounds like a defective phone. If they won't take it back and refund your money I would be filinjg claims with ebay and paypal before time runs out. If they had good rating on ebay then most likely they will take it back. Mary

I would recommend you make sure the battery is fully charge, remove the battery for about 30 seconds and then attempt to turn the phone back on. If it still doesn't turn on then I would suggest you find out if you are able to return the device.
