Home Phone Connect Voice Mail

Just started using Home Phone Connect. I choose to use an alternate voice mail system. The HPC manual says to set the alternate voice mail machine's settings to fewer rings than the HPC. I'd do that if I could find anywhere either what the number of rings is on the HPC before vm pick/up OR if I could find somewhere in the settings how to set the number of rings on the HPC before vm pick/up.

Additionally, where can I find a written (web based) explination of the what ALL the user settings are, what they mean, and a decision tree indicating how to find them? Why aren't All the user settings listed in the manual???

The amount of rings prior to getting picked up to voicemail can't be changed on the Homephone Connect. If you have a Answering machine you may be able to set that to pick up before the Homephone Connect goes to voicemail. The time interval prior to voicemail pickup is 30 seconds. Hope this information helps clarify the ring time for you.

Sorry if I was not clear. I am not having any issues with my alternate voice mail system...none. I'm having issues with the Home Phone Connect (HPC). Can I set the number of rings before voice mail picks up on the HPC? If so, how? OR, if I can't set the number of rings before pickup, How MANY rings before voice mail picks up? OR, what is the time interval programed into the HPC before it rolls over to voice mail? All my questions have to do with the HPC Voice Mail system....Not the alternate voice mail system. Your answeres to my questions regarding the HPC voice mail system will be greatly appreciated.
