Contact list not completely downloaded to my new cell phone

I purchased a new cell phone yesterday. My contact list is only partially carried over from my old phone

What "parts" are missing? What model is your old phone, and what is the new phone?

If the information fields on each phone are not exactly the same, some information may not get transferred.

In switching from a feature phone to a BlackBerry, I've discovered that all my contacts came over, the home and mobile number, and email addresses, but if I had a 2nd mobile number listed, it did NOT make it to the BB. Not good,, when I had several families and had the husband and wife under mobile 1 and 2, and now I'm missing one of the numbers and have to re-enter it.

Depending on the phones involved, and how your information is stored on each one, I'm willing to bet that's where the issue lies.

As SuzyQ mentioned, this would be dependent on what phone you had previously and what phone you changed to. It would also be dependent on what backup source you used on the original phone, such as Backup Assistant, Google and etc.

Let us know if you are still having issues with getting all of your contacts synced to your current device.
