I can't my contacts. I receive a message, "Preset contact information is not editable on this device." Help!
I believe that error message is because you are attempting to remove a contact that is pre-stored in your phone. Editing or removing those contacts is not possible (much like the error message describes). If you ultimate goal is to remove them from displaying in the contacts list, you can change the view by going into Contacts> Menu Key> Display Options> Preset> Uncheck All Contacts. This prevents the pre-stored contacts from showing up in the contacts list.
If you're having a different issue, please describe what issue you are having in more detail so either I or the community can assist.
Thanks,
No, I'm sure they are refering to a contact that is not pre-stored. This is a known issue and continues. There have been a lot of funny issues we've uncovered in adding Twitter accounts and probably others but we aren't there yet. Example it altered a contact my wife made for my son and put her picture in there when she added her Twitter account. Then it made it a "preset" contact so that it can't be fixed or deleted. This needs to be addressed by whoever is responsible, Google, Motorola or Verizon or the group or if there's a fix then you need to present it now.
