Cannot empty deleted mail folder

I am not able to empty the deleted mail folder on my corporate email account in my phone.  The setting on my account (on the computer) is set to empty the deleted file upon exit.  I cannot find such a setting on the phone, nor does the file give me an option for emptying.

It may be how the account is setup on your device.

Have you considered removing the account and adding it back onto the phone?
