Is there a way to transfer a ringtone not downloaded from Verizon Wireless?

Hi,

I'm about to get a replacement phone and I have Backup Assistant in place and a memory card to save and transfer my pictures.

However, I have one personal ringtone that I downloaded from a third party website. Is there any way to save that and then put it on the new phone? Or do I have to download it again? The ringtone itself was free, but based on my service plan, Verizon Wireless will charge me for data access.

Any help is appreciated.

If you are are getting a different phone. You must get the ringtone again. Unless you made ityourself. More than likely your song was coded for your phone .

Is it something you sent to your phone as a MMS originally? Using yournumber@vzwpix.com? If so you can send the tone to an email or another cell phone and have them send it back once you get your new one up and running. Most likely since it's a free tone you'll have more flexibility with it, so try sending it as a sound in an MMS.

You could also just send it to your email ( web mail ) address in the form of a pix message, then forward it back to your new phone. that sounds simpler to me.... anyway
