I am getting charged for text messages on my VZ Manager. How can I block these messages, as I do not want any text messages through my computer.

Trying calling Verizon and see if they can block them. i had this happen to a user and he was able to talk them into blacking all incoming text messages.
Go to your account personal contact set-up and change the phone from your netbook's phone number to another number or change it to send notifications to your email address. That was "fun" for me to recieve a charge that I had paid my bill
You will need to add a text message block to your account to prevent from receiving a charge for the text messages you recieve on VZ Access Manager.
