iphone4 blocked call?

Help! How can you tell if someone has blocked you from sending text messages on the iphone4? I sent a text message from a previous "conversation" and it appeared to go thu. However a few hours later my iphone went off alerting me of a new text msg (ringtone went off thats how I knew). But when I looked at my phone there was not a new text message.

 

Could it be that the person blocked me and because I have an iphone (so does the person I sent the text to) does it not let you know that you were blocked??

I will try to bring some light to the blocked message issue as I can understand your frustration. I first wanted to clarify if the friend that sent you a message to also has a VZW iPhone. If a customer adds the Call and Message blocking feature on their My Verizon account and the person they blocked has VZW, the blocked user will get a "message delivery failed" error when they try to send a message. They will also receive a message back stating "You cannot send messages to destinations that are blocked by the account owner." If the person you were texting is with another carrier then it is difficult to say what blocking capabilities they are provided. It is possible the alert went off for another app you have on the phone.  Please let me know if you need any additional assistance.
