Arrange Browser bookmarks?

I've got a Samsung Stratosphere. In the Browser, I've added a few bookmarks. Unless they are for sites that are on the list of supplied bookmarks, they go to the end of the lengthy bookmark list. Is there any way to arrange these bookmarks and put the ones I use most near the top? I've tried to long-tap and drag, but the long tap just opens up a list of actions, none of which is "organize" or "arrange." Tapping Menu brings up options to change to List view (no improvement) and create a folder. I may have to resort to that, but I'd like to just shift the positions of the bookmarks on the screen.

I have a similar issue with the Stratosphere bookmarks. Rather than re-arrange them, I want to delete the ones I never use. I don't see a way to do that. Is there one?

I understand your need for customizing your bookmarks. It sounds like you have done a lot of troubleshooting and to be honest there is not much customization on the stock browser. The beauty of having

You didn't respond to my issue with the bookmarks. I want to know how to delete bookmarks I don't use or need. I have looked in the Stratosphere user guide and find nothing about how to delete bookmarks. Is there a way to delete bookmarks?

Yes. If you tap and hold a bookmark, a menu will pop up. One of the options on this is "Delete bookmark."

Thanks. I have indeed thought about looking into other browsers, such as Opera. I use it on my desktop and laptop computers, and may well try it on my Stratosphere.

go into the list history of www sites, long push, delete what you want.

Unfortunately, I don't see that on my Samsung Stratosphere. There are quite a number of supplied bookmark slots for specific sites (VZW, CNN, ESPN, etc.), which become active if you actually visit those sites. All other bookmarks go to the bottom of the list and stay there, in the order added. The order never changes, either for the supplied bookmarks or the ones I add. I can switch between list view and thumbnail view, but the order remains the same. It's frustrating. As SammuelP has suggested, the solution will probably be to move away from the stock browser.
