Stupid Question

This is my first smart phone and it's taking me longer to get familiar with it than I thought it would. I have a really basic question. When the phone is in Standby mode (blank back screen) and there is an incoming call, how do I answer it? Do I really have to press the power button then unlock then bring up the Phone app in order to answer the call?

I hope they did since they asked the question over three months ago.

When the phone rings, the phone comes out of standby mode and you're presented with the choices of answering the phone, sending the call to voice mail, or responding with a 'quick message'. See p 23 of the user manual:

Have you actually received a call and was it not obvious how to answer it?

When my phone is in standby, i.e. black screen, and I receive a call the screen turns on and I get a button to slide in order to answer the phone.
