Why is the Pro Not Even Listed?

Why don't you have info in this forum for the Droid Pro;which by the way your salesperson tried VERY hard to get me to take off your hands.It looses signal constantly and the sound quality is terrible;someone is always asking me to repeat things. It has become obvious you must have had issues selling this model.

I do not want to believe this is a "Network" problem but it seems to me your coverage map is just blatant false advertising.

I live in North-Central IL and the "coverage map" indicates solid 3G coverage for over one hundred miles in all directions. There is a university with an enrollment of 20K plus forty-five miles north of me but when I am half-way between there and home I get no 3G and marginal voice only; are you serious!

Either invest in some additional towers or stop making claims about "The Network" which just are not true.

The Droid Pro is covered in the general Android section of this community. Which also covers several other phones that don't have enough discussion traffic to warrant a separate forum. At least that's my guess based on the time I have participated in the VZW community.

I'm sorry for any concerns you've had with your DROID PRO. I would love to make sure this gets resolved for you. I have family in the North Central Illinois area, so I'm fairly well traveled and haven't had many issues with network reliability. Sounds like you may be near Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL. Is that correct? Regardless, are you aware of any other users with the same signal issues? I would like to obtain more details on the sound and signal concerns you have, please reply here or send me a direct message so I can follow up with you.

Hello:

Thanks for your response. I live in Ottawa,IL and travel between there and

DeKalb quite often to visit family. Also my best friend lives approx. at

the half-way point in Earlville,Il . When I am there I get constant vocal

"loss of service" messages from the phone and then the "Verizon Wireless"

reconnection message. This becomes so annoying to the people around me I

must turn the phone off.

I did a tower search and there is supposedly a tower in Mendota,IL a mere

12 to 13 miles away from Earlville,IL. Now either the phone is the issue or

the tower is.

This situation is completely unacceptable as I am disabled and am in no

position to "walk for help" in an emergency.This is the primary reason I

have a cell phone in the first place. I suppose I am just stuck with this

phone as I needed to root it to use a certain security app;but i suspect it

is not a phone issue as far as "reception" is concerned.

Unfortunately none of the people I speak to with cell phones utilize

Verizon so I can not comment on anyone's quality of service but my own.But

I am often told my voice quality just plain sucks. Thank you in advance.

This situation with my service has not improved. I drove to the location in question once again and then proceeded to drive toward the nearest tower. I did not have usable service until I was within ten miles of the tower. That can not be normal. Either my phone is defective or there is an equipment issue?

This phone subsequently died and was replaced. We'll see if "reception/service" improves.

To me, it does sound like it may have been an issue with that particular unit. Please do keep us posted as to how the replacement is working for you.
