Problem with Samsung Intensity II

I currently have the Samsung Intensity II. Within about the last week or so, my phone gets very bright, almost to the point I can't see anything on it. It goes in spurts where it's normal, then like this. I have only had the phone since about late June/early July. Any suggestions on how to correct this? Thank you.

Evad99, thank you for sharing your concern. When your screens gets really bright, is this in the middle of using the phone? Have you tried pulling the battery from the phone when this is happening? Have you tried adjusting the brightness in the display settings? I am not showing this as a known issue with the device, so it appears to be a malfunction. If this is still occurring after adjusting brightness and pulling the battery, the phone may need to be replaced. Please send me a PM with your name and mobile number if still having this issue.
