I have figured it out! It was a battery saver app I had downloaded. I searched it on the internet. Download app Any Cut. Save a short cut for APN's, restore setting. It is working flawlessly!!! No hard reset!!
I now have data!
That is what we believe was my problem also. I am still waiting for a replacement phone, because it still seems to do some odd things. This morning was horrible squealing during a phone call, reminded me of a data connection noise.
I have also emailed the battery saver app to advise them of the issue.
