Can't open Gallery.

I have a Samsung Stratosphere.  I have been trying to open the Gallery to view some photos, but when the Gallery opens, it immediately closes and then shows the following message:  "Sorry!  The application Gallery (process com.cooliris.media) has stopped unexpectedly.  Please try again  Force close".  What should I do?

I'm sorry to hear the Gallery application is giving you trouble! I hope I can provide some simple steps to resolve this concern. First, I would like you to go into Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Gallery, then tap "Clear Cache" and "Force Stop". Next, go back into and re-open the Gallery. If it still force closes, I recommend enabled safe mode (http://bit.ly/StratSafeMode), then open the Gallery. This process disables all Market apps and we're looking for the Gallery to open like normal, that'll let you know there is a corrupt application from the Market. In most cases, it'll be something related to the Gallery, Social Networking, or photo taking. If you are not able to determine the application causing the problem, then a hard reset (http://bit.ly/StratReset) will be the next step to return the phone back to factory settings. Please ensure your contacts, calendar, etc is backed up appropriately.
