LG Enlighten - Backup Assistant Problems?

Every night when my LG Enlighten's Backup Assistant does it's scheduled backup, my phone doesn't lock up when I press the sleep button and every time I hit the "home" button, it doesn't work (it just stays on whatever screen it was on). The only way to get off the screen is by hitting the back button.

This has happened every night for awhile now and the only way to fix it is to shut down the phone and turn in back on.

Is there any possible way to fix this without having to restart my phone every time?

@Rainseclipse that’s not good about your phone. I can help to get this resolved. First, with the phone not locking up, does this only happen when Backup Assistant is backing up? Second, the home button issue, does that happen all the time or only when backing up? Do you have a lot of 3^rd party apps on the phone? Have you tried to delete some apps from the phone? Sometimes 3^rd party apps can cause adverse functionality on the phone. Please answer these questions so I can help you get this issue resolved. Thanks.

The locking up problem only occurs after the Backup Assistant has activated and completed.

I have a few third party applications but the problem was occurring before I downloaded anything.

I figured out that it doesn't have an issue if I manually use the Backup Assistant, but it does when it automatically does. I also came to the conclusion that it doesn't mess up when I'm on the phone when it does the scheduled Backup- it only has problems when the Backup Assistant is triggered when the phone is locked/asleep.

Sounds like the data connection may be disconnecting when sleep like other devices that has been reported before, next time this issue happens check the data connection and see if the data connection is turned off (No 3G ar 4G icon on status bar) , if this is the case you need to check you data connections and power manager options.

I have this exact same problem with my LG Enlighten. Backup assistant runs, disables my screen lock and before I notice it Im pocket dialing everyone. Its infuriating

mine is giving me the opposite problem. I have had it about 3 months and last night the touch screen stopped working. I can't slide it open and so cannot use it. Any ideas?
