Dropping service and extremely slow

Dear Sirs:

June 13 I bought this phone. It was very slow and finally the 3G at the top disappeared. Verizon sent a new phone. Not what I paid for and not working as advertised!!! The Hotspot feature, that is. I use it for i net on my laptop.

This new (reconditioned) phone is worse!! Speeds in the 'F' category!! Both, phone stand alone and attached to the laptop.

We do not have 4G here so they (Verizon) have had me turn on roaming, turn on CDMA only, remove battery, do a factory reset, plus others I am sure....

Oh yes, I turn on roaming, but under status it says it is off !!!!

I have 3 bars (at -94DB) but the phone is still soooooooo slow........

It even drops the 3g when airline mode is on but then it comes back on ....this may be as designed.

And, is it ever a battery HOG....even when attached to my laptop USB it will still deplete the battery....Then I have to charge it on AC...... This is a corded wireless device....

There is a Verizon ticket open since 7/25/2011 .......no response or calls back to let me know what's going on..

My verizon opinion is going down the drain.......maybe they will provide me a new Iphone free of CHARGE !!!!

There are so many other forum posts with this issue...maybe a recall is in order.

Good luck getting a real answer.My phone has been slow and crappy since day one.The only answer I get is a hard reset. This phone has lots of issues. It does not live up to any of the hype and falls very short of being good. I totally believe that this phone needs to be recalled.

I understand your discontent. I would be frustrated if my phone did not perform as expected. Your post indicates that your phone is running slow. I would recommend Clearing Cache, History and Cookies as this may greatly improve your phone's speed and performance.
