I recently started having problems with the text feature on my phoner.  The problem is that as I am texting words often times and at random times, periods (dots) will automatically show up or appear for no reason.  I have to go back and edit my text.  I am not sure whether  its (1) Software upgrade, (2)  problem with my text feature,  or (3) my screen.

Check your auto-text settings - I think what is happening is that you hit the space twice. That "automatically" ends the sentence, puts a period, and starts a new sentence. Is the next letter capitalized as well when this happens?

It happens on my BlackBerry, and is handy, except when you don't intend to double space. You can turn off the "auto-correct" or "auto-text" feature so only what you actually type shows up.
