Here is your problem with that. It requires internet to access the ringtones and the such and to download them. This service takes up data space on the network. Use to be back in the day it came out of minutes , but then people were complaining that they were loosing all ther min so verizon changed it to date (aint lieing makes them more money). This is why you should browse your ringtones online at verizonwirless and send them to yoru phone much cheaper that way. Or get a connect plan or premium or add the 15 dollard vpack
Just my 2 cents
VZW is all about nickel and diming its customers period. Get use to it if you are going to stick with them. They are stuck back in the old days!
Comments of "nickle & diming" aside, I agree your best option if you just want to browse around is to do it directly at www.verizonwireless.com/mediastore . If you decide to purchase anything you can always have it sent directly to your device, this download will still charge you MBs but it should be minimal at that point. 1-2 MBs @ $1.99 each.
Having it come out of your minutes, I think, was a much better idea. Unfortunately Verizon is not the only carrier that sees otherwise.
