My contract is up and i'm torn between the gnex, rezound,lg spectrum and rayzr maxx...help!
I can't speak for the other phones but i love my Rezound,0 issues with it after 3 weeks of having it,funny how Verizon seemed to overlook this great Android smartphone.
I like the HTC ReZound. However since I have had three different HTC Sense android phones in two years, I decided to try something else. I am going with the Galaxy Nexus this time. The DROID Razr looked promising. It just didn't make the cut.
I love my Rezound!. It is really a great phone and I have also had zero issues in over a month. It just "works"! I highly recommend it. In my comparisons the RAZR and GNex had too many negatives. I suggest you 1) go to a store and check each one out in person if you haven't already (to me the RAZR is very uncomfortable in the hand and the GNex is rather large for example - can only determine these kind of things by holding and trying out the phones). 2) look around the internet at USER reviews. Also I am one of the unfortunate people that can immediately see Pentile display technology artifacts and it drives me crazy. The RAZR and GNex both use Pentile technology although it is less noticeable on the GNex. Even so, colors on the GNex are sometimes not right and when the screen dims it becomes "muddy". The LG Spectrum sounds and looks promising. Maybe you should wait until it comes out next week so you can include it in your comparison.
Good luck!
I'm voting for the Rezound, but I'm biased. The Razr Maxx has the same Razr spec's with a much bigger battery. They did manage to squeeze that monster into the Razr without increasing the size too much, but I still like the Rezound better for my purposes, even if the extended battery does increase the size quite a bit. I'm one of those people who likes a larger phone I can get a good grip on and the Rezound just feels better in my hand. Fortunately the Thunderbolt didn't sour me on HTC because the Rezound is a great phone.
Ann, I'm looking forward to your impressions on the Nexus. I think the Rezound and Nexus are both great phones, but I think it may come down to what you want and need in a phone and how you are going to use it. I think the Nexus may be a better phone for techies who want the basic Android UI as opposed to the Sense UI overlay.
I had the Nexus for about 24 hours. More issues than a teenager. The Rezound is where I landed. It is just a flat out stable phone. Good reception, great screen, great camera, and just rock solid without freezes or reboots. My biggest issue with the Gnex was the ringer volume. Could not hear it.
Thanks to the community for your replies.
Hello dcut,
I’m glad to learn you’ll be upgrading to one of our new devices. If you haven’t already, I also recommend you compare the features and services available on each. You can compare up to five devices at a time here. Thanks for continuing to Rule the Air with Verizon Wireless.

I'm in the same boat. Been sitting on an upgrade for awhile now waiting for the latest and greatest. I like the Samsung interface and displays on their phones. Was going to get a Nexus, but from what I've heard (or read), it has trouble functioning as a phone, which to me is the most important feature of a phone (as well it should be). I have never had an HTC, but have been impressed with the reviews I have seen and heard for the Rezound. It has also come down in price. I'm a little leery of the HTC interface, as I am accustomed to Samsung, but I imagine i will get used to it. I am also eyeing the LG Spectrum as it has amazing specs, but their other smart phones to date have been less than stellar. What to do, what to do.....
