sim card

I used my dad's upgrade to get the samsung stratosphere, i was not allowed to activate the phone online under my number so i tried to activate it under his with the sim card inserted. So my question is..can i switch the phone to my number and have the sim card work still?, the online activation is telling me that i can't.

You have to go to the Verizon store or call customer care and get a new sim card. The sim card when you got the stratosphere was tied to your fathers line. So you have to get your own.

lovely, do you know if they charge for that? I'm sure they do just want to make sure

They should be free. I have never heard of anyone being charged for it unless it is from a 3rd party retailer. Make sure if you call Customer Care they send you the LARGER one, and not the micro.

I just switched from the HTC Thundetbolt to a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and had to get a different sized SIM card. I went to a corporate store. They had to activate both the SIM and the phone in the store, but I walked with an activated phone and didn't pay a cent.
