I just got my Samsung Stratosphere two days ago and as I was on it tonight it just shut off and won't turn back on. I've tried removing the battery, sim card, and sd card. Still won't turn back on. Any tips?
I should add that it was fully charged.
frannybannanny,
As important as cell phones are nowadays, I'm sure this was frustrating. Removing the battery, SIM, and SD card were all great steps to take. I think you may benefit from performing an "alternative" hard reset on the device. The following link will have the steps for the reset, http://bit.ly/AlternativeReset. Ensure you have your important information backed up to Google/Gmail before doing the reset, the SD card will not be affected. If you continue to have issues, please send me a direct message.
Thank you!

I know this may be off topic, but Im hearing that android 3.0 Honeycomb, will be updated to the Stratosphere, has anyone heard that, or have done it? If so and if possible, does anyone know how to update the phone without "over the air" updating? thanks!
Honeycomb is a tablet only operating system. If the Stratosphere is updated, it would be to Android 4.0.3/4 aka Ice Cream Sandwich.
I work for verizon, and the system says that it comes with either gingerbread 2.3 or Honeycomb 3.0, at first I thought that was wrong, because I was aware that honeycomb was a tablet only operating system, but I found that I have to use samsung kies to attempt to update, so with time I will find out if it is possible to install honeycomb. I will post if so, by some miracle lol.
