How do you merge/combine Verizon phone and e-mail contacts with your Facebook contacts on a Droid X2? I saw the messages about doing this for Gmail contacts, but not for Verizon e-mail contacts.
Go into view contact, click the menu button, then link contacts, and select the duplicate name, this will link the contacts together into one.
If that doesnt work then try this..
Steps:
- Select your contact that you want to merge
- Hit your Menu button
- Select "Edit Contact"
- Hit Menu Button
- Select "Join"
- Select the contact you want to join with
The best way I have seen to do this is with the Facebook for Android app. If your phone did not come preloaded with it, you can find it in the market here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.facebook.katana&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5mYWNlYm9vay5rYXRhbmEiXQ... When you first open the app, you will have to login. If I remember correctly, it will then ask you if you want to sync your contacts. Choose the option that best fits your needs. If this doesn't happen automatically, press menu>settings>sync contacts and then choose your option.
