My voice action does not work. What gives
Im sorry that is isnt working but on the same not just saying it isnt working isnt enough to give you a correct answer, do you can to share your situation in more details?
OK When I hold the mag. glass icon in the lower left down the google search comes up ans directs to me to speak. I speak, but then it time out as it does not hear me. Same thing when I use the mic icon in the type entry mode. The speak comes up and then times out. When I press the help to the left of the dialogue box all it tells me is how to use the app with no help as to why it is not working. I tried to get rid of the voice app, but it seems to be tied to the software. I just got the phone as a replacement for my old motorola droid.
Sorry, the mag glass/search icon I am using is on the lower right of the phone!
have u chkd in your settings - bottom left, menu button on phone- look for settings, then voice input to see if "personalized recognition is "on" and/or language set to "ENG"? have u added other apps since acquire phone? And/or have u set any actvtities in smart actions app preloaded on phone? Is your razr new or refurb? - u mention replacement-.. Are u truly wanting to use voice actions or did it come up by way of holding "search key" too long?
This problem is not fixed or anwered. My voice action does not work either on the mag glass search ikon or on the mic on the key board.

There is no animation like a scope trace like I had with my precious droid.
Have not checked the mic volume setting. Can't right now, because the damn
thing went dead. Second night in a row I did not make it through the day.
So now I have to check the battery usage (an improvement I might add) to see
what gives. It may be that the on-off button now being on the side of the
unit touches the holder during the day. Not an improvement I might add.
I constantly used voice on my old droid. Never did use the type input except
for names.
Went thru all the suiggestions. Now seems to be working, but I don't know what changed! Thanks to you two!
