4510L Firmware will not update.

Everytime I connect to teh 4510L it says I need to update the firmware. I have gone thru the process and I have the device manager showing the novatel wireless device. When I go thru the update the mifi reboots and I think I have it fixed, but as soon as I connect it says I have to update the firmware. What am I doing wrong?

This does sound rather strange.  On the machine that is running Windows 7.  Try disabling the anti-virus and redoing the software update.  Also I would try going to vzam.net and get the software from the site instead of the prompt that you have been trying to do it from.  I am sure these measures will resolve your issues.  Hope this helps.  Thanks.
