I feel crazy. After 7+ hours of customer service on the phone and 2 trips to the Verizon store.....all I was left with was high blood pressure.
I purchased a new phone and signed another 2 year contract about 2 months ago. The phone had a manufacturer defect and just shut off one day and wouldn't turn back on. After making me jump through hoops, I got a replacement which is a USED phone through the manufacturer. thanks a lot guys. I prob wouldn't have thought twice about it if the replacement phone actually worked. this phone also had defects and would not work. Back to the store i went. They sent me another replacement. can u guess what happens next??? DING DING DING. another broken USED phone that was sent to an address that i haven't lived at in years. Now I have been out of a phone for a week, they are having "technical difficulties" switching my plan to another phone in the meantime, how convenient. To top it all off, they are completely unwilling to even give me a credit for the days I haven't been able to use my phone.
Am I crazy or would the right thing here be to give me a credit for the days I haven't used my phone and possibly maybeeeeeeeeeeeeee a new phone???? I've been a customer for years and to be perfectly honest I'm surprised I've stayed this long considering the lack of good customer service skills I have experienced in the past with Verizon.
I am actually appalled at the experience I have had with them and they aren't even willing to bend outside of their standard policies to help keep a customer. I know I am just one customer, but these companies are all the same. They get too big for their britches and they forget that every great company's success is greatly attributed to good customer service. It costs my fiance and I nearly 250 dollars a month for service for these phones. We have another 2 years to go. That's almost 6000 dollars. Instead of fixing a problem which likely costs them less than 200 dollars, they would much rather lose me as a customer and risk bad word of mouth.
Hope your experience is better then mine...
