DROID X2 Verizon Customer Service

So not so long ago I got rid of the Hotspot service because I rarely used it and didn't need to pay the extra $20.00 a month so I recently got my new bill, and still they did not drop the service, not only did the not drop the service they charged me for a partial month for the Hotspot, they did the same thing for every other service. So what I originally pay a 165.00 a month which is expensive in the first place, now this month i owe 265.00 which i think is wrong for them to charge like that, this has happened before acouple other times and wondering what I should do and if anyone else have had this problem. Please let me know?

I have never had this happen, but you should call customer service and explain to them what happened. I'm sure if it was an error on their part, they would be happy to credit your account. Be aware, they may ask you to pay the full amount to keep your account current, I'm not sure how quickly credits get applied.

Hey Dale,

Just out of curiousity... did you have big red make the changes to your account the day you called in? If so It looks like you are a victim of pro-ration. Verizon bills a month in advance, so the you will see your current month's data feature as well as pro-ration fees for however long the service was used up until you cancelled it. Anytime you make a data change it's usually best to have them future date it as they bill one cycle in advance. If you make your own changes through your 'My Verizon" account you should be able to see the impact of the changes you want to make before you actually put them in effect. Personally I think they work it out pretty fairly.. It sucks that your rep didn't suggest a future dating option.

That's the way I have seen it on my bills anyway, it does levy a wallop of sticker shock, but it seems fair enough to me. Their customer service is the biggest reason I'll never leave them, you should give them a call if your rep didn't suggest you to future date, they'd probably hook you up.

I changed the service on My Verizon and it wasn't red and said I had a credit of 76 dollars, how I go about doing the future dating option. I have had good service don't get me wrong, but everytime I change service I get a huge price ticket. So let me know what I should do to add that option, do I need to call them or can I do it on line. Thanks for the information.
