I no longer hear the android sound when I turn on my phone and can't seem to locate anything about turning the notification on in the sound settings. Can anyone help? Thanks
Is the phone on silent mode?
No. Not in silent mode. I get all my audible alerts
Connected by DROID on Verizon Wireless
I don't have a solution for you, but if you figure out what caused the sound to stop, you might share it on the thread here: https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/767295. That's someone who has the start-up sound and wants to turn it off.
Sounds like the bootup animation files somehow got corrupt. Try factory resetting (backing up all your data beforehand, of course).
The "Droid" you hear on startup is usually connected to the Roaming sound. Tap on the menu key and tap on Settings>Sounds>Roaming. If there is no check mark in the check box next to Roaming, tap on it to check it. You should hear the "Droid" sound. To turn off the droid start up sound, just uncheck it.
There is no roaming option under Sounds. Which device do you have?
Both a Droid X and an LG Spectrum. And I apologize, The Roaming sound is a voice announcing "Verizon." It would be under the Notification line.
Ahh okay, yeah I don't have that option; it must be device specific.
