Hello- Advice please. Just bought Droid 4. Set up FB and Gmail accounts with no problems. Contacts migrated from Droid HTC. EXCEPT contact's actual phone numbers. Anyway of getting these numbers back? Thanks!
How were the contact number saved on the other phone? Saved to the phone only or to your gmail account?
If they were save only to the phone you might have to export them (with the People app) to the sd card. Email the VCF file to yourself or transfer the file to the new phone and then import them the Contact/People app on the Droid 4.
Thanks Ann154 - Since it was an older Droid- I think they were all saved to the phone- there was nothing in back up assistant. I'm going back to the store tomorrow to see if they have the old phone and if it hasn't been wiped yet. Thank you!
You left the old phone at the store? Yikes! They are likely gone. Good Luck though.
that's one of the reasons i use backup assistant, for folks with phone numbers & no email from way back, before the upgrade to the droid x in dec '10.
if the numbers were in ba, they should be there. i've used ba for years without any problems.
ba won't do a backup if a contact is in gmail contacts.
