I am new to this. I am trying to connect my wifi using my computers wireless wep secured connection. on the droid I do find the correct wifi connection but when I try to connect it says it was unsuccessful finding my ip address. any suggestions?
wep may not work & may need wpa or one of the other configs available, as it depends on the router & software version.
mine's just the opposite with a wrt 54g linksys router, works only with wep, wpa tries to connect but won't.
cody21 has the same router i have but with a different software version & can connect with wpa.
you have to realize that a lot of this is magic.
