On my Samsung Droid, my ISP requires authentication for outgoing email. I don't see this as an option and so all my supposedly sent items are sitting in my Outbox. Anyone else have this issue? My Gmail and Hotmail accounts work just fine. Thx
Who is your ISP? I will provide the settings
Hi Kaytee,
You will have to aqquire you Pop3 and SMPT info from your ISP and plug them into your settings when you get them.. I think VZW has a video on how to set it up once you get this info.

you must be receiving mail, just not sending.
isn't it a box to check on the smtp server as you setup the email account.
my cox pop3 requires authentication + secure on both servers.

It is but also the port numbers are different. That is why I asked which ISP. They must have solved the problem on their own
i use 465 & 995 on the phone & in outlook express on the pc, same auth/secure.
Some use 587
My server details seem correct as indicated above. I reset my Comcast email password on my home computer and then reset the passwords on my Droid to match in both the incoming and outgoing server box passwords. I can no longer send email out. Not sure what I did??? Or more importantly, how to correct it! Thanks for any insight.
with cox website info, not from the above list that i posted, login for the smtp server is just the login, not @ cox.net.
some of the above info is right & some isn't.
if you look at the cox info above, 110 didn't work, i used 465 as i mentioned above for the smtp server.
When i get home i will give you the pirt settings that are needed, id someone else has not already done so
