Facebook error

I have a Samsung Continum and for the past 2 days when I try to press my Facebook button, I get the following error

The application Facebook (process.com.facebook.katana) has stopped unexpectantly.  Please try again.

I have removed the battery to try and reset, did not work.  I also just tried to do an update and it downloaded fine, but will still nort work.  Any suggestions?

If you read the reviews for the facebook app in the market its full of one star reviews. Its not really a VZW issue or even a issue with your phone its just a poorly made app. When i have problems with it if you end the process in settings>apps>running services and then restart it you might have better luck
